New Lexus Coupe Will Also Be Available with Hybrid Engine
In addition to all of the excitement about the upcoming Lexus LC 500, it has now been announced that there will also be an LC 500h hybrid version.
This is keeping with the trend that when Lexus introduces a new model, it will be available as a hybrid, and the new flagship coupe is no different. The LC 500h will join the MX, RX, ES, GS, AND LS, as well as the CT200h, which is only available as a hybrid.
While there are not a lot of details yet, Lexus says that the LC will feature their “next-generation hybrid powertrain, the Lexus Multi-Stage Hybrid System.”
The standard LC500 will be have a 5.0-liter, 467 horsepower engine, coupled with a 10 speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive powertrain. The latest Lexus hybrid is scheduled to debut in March at the Geneva Auto Show.
