New Safety Suite

Lexus has announced a full suite of new safety features that will debut with the new LS — called Lexus Safety System + A, the new technologies will add a degree of semi-autonomous driving assistance to the flagship sedan.

This list of the newly comprised features is enormous, consisting of Pedestrian Alert, Active Steering Assist, Lexus Co-Drive, a Two-Stage Adaptive High-beam System, Intelligence Clearance Sonar, Rear Cross Traffic Auto Brake, Front Cross Traffic Alert, Road Sign Assist, Parking Support Brakes, and an improved Panoramic View Monitor.

More often than not, its evident through context clues exactly what the features purpose is. Pedestrian Alert is coupled with Active Steering Assist in order to detect and avoid wayward pedestrians. The system can identify the walking direction of a pedestrian and can prevent a collision by first alerting you if a pedestrian will be crossing your path, and then subsequently braking and diverting if a collision becomes is imminent.

Lexus Co-Drive groups Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Change Assist and Driver Emergency Stop Assist together in order to keep you in your lane or alternatively keep you on a safe path if lane markings are vague.

Semi-Autonomous features are made possible with a slew of radar, cameras, and various first world technologies. As we continue to progress and grow as a planet, more intelligent modes of transportation are becoming more and more necessary. Employing these safety features could save you from an accident and could even save a life someday.

All of these features will be debuting with the release of the new LS. Receive updates or check out our inventory here at our site!

Lexus' Lil' Alien- the UX

Lexus arrived at the Paris Motor Show revealing a new compact crossover concept vehicle that is now going into production. The futuristic looking SUVs debut represents a ‘new design journey’ for Lexus- intended to attract the broadening group of urban customers that Lexus hasn’t yet called upon. The innovative design cues and technological applications are meant to express a uniquely immersive experience for the driver, inclusive of the cockpit ergonomics that are centered in on the driver and flow outward and Lexus’ brand new three-dimensional HMI technology feature.

The body features more angles and curves than you’d ever think could befall upon an SUV. A multitude of angles on the side are wrapped across the front and drawn into a feathered spindle grille that highlights the expressive fascia. The white LED lights are cut at deeply sharp angles and offer piercing intensity. The newly-developed Immersive Amethyst paintwork is not only stunning but is multi-layered to highlight the vast volume changes over the prominently sculptural body design.

The interior is very alien and one can’t help but wonder how many of the spacey design cues will actually be included in the final UX design. The driver centered console wraps you in purple curves and large screens with the new 3-D HMI displays. The color scheme of deep purples accentuated with a soft lavender color is simply majestic. The front seats, coined as ‘kinetic’, represent agile sophistication and driver engagement, and they are downright sexy. The front of the cabin is also darkened to further employ a focus on the driving experience, whilst the rear is much brighter and creates an attractive space with a soft and welcoming lounge sofa that beautifully wraps around the back doors.

Futuristic designs like this aren’t for everyone, but they are for me. I would tell you to go here for updates on the UX from your Lexus dealer, but alas, I will personally be buying them out upon release.

Sorry, not sorry!

Lexus' Fresh LS 500

When Lexus came to the US in 1989, it was the LS sedan that defined Lexus’ fresh image and was heartily set loose onto the streets. Precise styling and moderately priced luxury was a no-brain choice for the high-end vehicle buyer. The brand has ascendingly become even more prevalent in the luxury line-up thanks to the recent surge in SUV popularity and Lexus’ admirable SUV selection. This year, however, the Lexus LS is anticipated to reignite sedan love in the ever more inclusive market.

Lexus’ 2018 LS 500 could be described as bigger and badder, but one may venture too far saying that it has taken heed to the markets predominant push for more aggressive styling and sporty cues. The LS stands firm in its exceedingly refined regalia that certainly appeals to conservative shoppers. The revised fascia still features the trademark spindle grille, accented by impossibly sleek ‘Z’ shaped headlights that taper into the waist of the spindle grilles figure. This feature is not only eye-catching, it is unexpectedly enrapturing.

The Lexus LS is a luxury car first; hence the new 2018 model steps up to the plate with the full suite of the automaker's advanced safety tech, new interior trim themes inspired by Japanese Shimamoku wood patterns and a remarkably quiet cabin-  rather advantageous for the optional Mark Levinson audiophile system to work in. The LS will also be available with an optional 24-inch color head-up display, which the automaker claims is the largest in the world.

Regardless of the focus on luxury, the performance of the LS is commendable, and speaks for itself.  The 3.5 L V6 has a remarkable output of 415 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Paired with its suave 10 speed transmission, driving the LS is simultaneously exhilarating and tranquil powering through highways and gliding through the city. Lexus times the LS going 0-60 mph on par with performance oriented cars- in just 4.5 seconds- quite an impressive feat for a full-sized sedan.

The LS has been meticulously pruned for this years release and has full intent to steal the spotlight from Lexus’ popular SUVs. Whether youre looking for a refined vehicle with convincing performance or simply desire luxurious amenities without an insane starting price; the 2018 LS is going to be a prime candidate for you. 2017 Lexus ES

The 2017 Lexus ES makes a name for itself with a sharp design, a spacious cabin, premium standard safety features, and a slew of convenient features. Comfort is king with this luxury sedan.

Once the epitome of a conventional sedan, the current-generation Lexus ES has taken on a bold new look with sleek lines and the aggressive Lexus spindle grille. The endless black grille paired with flared fenders and narrow windows give this Lexus a tough masculine look, and the flowing lines from nose to tail create an overall dynamic design.

The interior is aptly ripe with sumptuous and classy materials. Among these exclusive touches are matte finish bamboo accents, hand sanded steering wheel trim, flaxen upholstery, and elegant contrast stitching. Careful consideration is evident throughout the cabin, and though its design is very European, the comfort and quality is undoubtedly universally appealing.

The 2017 ES comes with a 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. According to EPA estimates, it delivers 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, which is impressively economical for its class. The V6 engine is a refined favorite that provides more than enough power; and its resounding growl isn’t going to let you forget about it. There are three driving modes: Eco, Normal, or Sport. Eco mode provides better fuel economy with slightly reduced throttle response, while Sport mode delivers seamless power with aggressive transmission shifts.

The Lexus ES has been given some notable safety upgrades this year. The Lexus Safety System+ package, introduced last year as an option, is now standard on every ES. The system includes Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist, Intelligent High Beam (IHB) and High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

Amongst an entire market aspiring to become the most convincing sports car doppelganger, Lexus ES sits confidently in luxurious reliability. If you’re prone to stress on the road, the ES may be your best bet. The ride quality is top notch, and sound isolation is excellent. Recent improvements to the suspension result in an even better ride over previous model years. The ES is quite possibly the coziest of the sedans in the market, and it’s modestly prices as well. 2017 Lexus IS

Lexus is consistently keen on producing quality vehicles with stellar luxury and reliability. The IS, now in its third generation, stands strong in upholding Lexus’ grand reputation. The IS could easily be considered the catalyst of the recent grille revolution, and 2017s model is no exception. The 2017 Lexus IS has been given some key exterior design enhancements as well as improvements in steering and drive that have undeniably improved its overall value.

The exterior has received some minor upgrades; like new chrome exhaust tips and LED headlights with sleekly lit accents underneath. However, the IS really shines through its meticulously designed spindle grille. The all black grille tapers down just under the headlights, creating a sharp hourglass that unapologetically drapes down over the fascia. The grille is certainly eye catching, and will often provoke curiosity from unassuming onlookers.

The previously additional Lexus Safety System+ now comes standard on all models. In addition to the newly standard Lexus Safety System+ on all 2017 Lexus IS models, you also start off with a moonroof, HID headlights with LED running lights, LED fog lights and 17-inch wheels. Push-button start, keyless entry and Bluetooth are also standard. There's an 8-speaker audio system that delivers rich sound throughout the cabin, and an enlarged 7-inch VGA screen on the dash to improve the consoles ease of use. There’s also plenty of connectivity to take advantage of, as well as a plethora of USB and auxiliary inputs throughout the cabin.

Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0 L inline four cylinder engine with svelte variable valve timing. The IS all-wheel drive models are equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, while rear-wheel drive models boast the same quick-shifting, eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift transmission used in Lexus F models. In addition to including downshift throttle-blipping for more precise shifting and quicker response, the rear-wheel drive IS models are so advanced that their shifting varies with G-forces, allowing a lower gear to be held throughout the turn, providing maximum response when accelerating out. If the new IS is boasting anything, it’s the new performance. Lexus isn’t by any means a sport car manufacturer, but this car offers an intensive and fun driving experience for those who desire it alongside reliability and value.

2017 Lexus NX

The NX has been deemed the best 2017 luxury compact SUV for the money because of a combination of overall quality and value, as well as substantial long term value based on the low cost to own and impressive gas mileage. According to EPA estimates, the NX gets 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, which is very good for the class.

Making the most of every cubic inch of its 2.0-liter engine, the turbocharger relies on advanced twin-scroll technology and the ability to seamlessly move between conventional and Atkinson cycles, pairing quick acceleration with greater efficiency.

The exterior of the new NX has been given an aggressive style, highlighted by sporty shapes, hard edges, and a wide open black grille. The interior has a much softer appeal, with the status luxurious materials and high end technology features. Soft to the touch materials are cushy and forgiving, and sport chic contrast stitching. Wood trim and a modern analog clock are subtly classy touches. Lexus dives deeper than any other compact SUV on the market and offers us heated mirrors, automatic dual climate control, eight way power adjustable seats with lumbar support, an eight speaker sound system, and all of the standard technology features that their competitors offer as well. The overall design and plethora of amenities within really make the NX shine.

The NX also comes with some exceptional safety features this year. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control can help maintain a preset distance from the car traveling in front of you by automatically reducing the throttle and even applying the brakes at speeds above 25 mph. Once the road clears, the NX returns to its preset speed. Other helpful features include blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, intuitive parking assist, and a rearview camera. The NX features are top of the line and ensure optimum safety on the road.

Luxurious features and convenient amenities work in harmony with the outstanding value to provide a stellar choice for anyone in the compact SUV market. The NX is a clear winner for us, but you wont know for sure until you take it for a test drive! Receive updates on the NX or schedule a test drive with us here.

2017 Lexus RX: A New Era

The all-new 2017 RX introduces a new era of Lexus deign.  The sharp lines and distinctive floating roofline have been molded to alter the silhouette when looking at it from different angles. The rigid, fluctuating lines exude ambiguity and evoke curiosity. The modish, slanted accents have a primal fierceness to them. The floating panorama glass roof enhances the spaciousness of the interior cabin and gives rear seat passengers a unique, open air experience.

The tranquil design of the Matte Linear Dark Mocha wood trim combines the organic feel of natural wood with a layered look that’s meant to resemble modern art. The steering wheel trimmed in Matte Linear Dark Mocha is the result of a confounding 67 steps of craftsmanship over the span of 38 days. This intricate accent is formed from many layers of thinly cut wood that are bonded together and meticulously shaped and buffed. The RX says hello by illuminating the area surrounding the vehicle with soft lighting the moment you approach- adding visibility and security. You will also be welcomed by ambient interior lighting that brightens or dims as your entering or leaving the vehicle.

The RX has Drive Select for more control over responsiveness and shock absorption during your drive. There’s also the Active Torque Control AWD system, in place to actively monitor road conditions and shift engine power between the front and rear axles when needed. The engine is a 3.5 L V6 with 295 hp, paired with an exceptionally smooth eight speed transmission. The RX also now features a dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence system (VVT-i) for precise engine performance and enhanced fuel economy. VVT-I monitors engine speed and load, increases torque at lower speeds for improved acceleration, and boosts performance at higher speeds by adjusting intake and exhaust valve timing.

On top of premium performance, the RX offers all of the best of the line safety and technology features. A sensor on the rear door enables a raised hand or elbow held near the Lexus emblem to effortlessly open the door. Four high-resolution cameras mounted on the front, sides and rear of the vehicle give drivers a bird's-eye view of the near environment. The RX has also been technologically equipped for ultimate connectivity and ease of use. This new era of Lexus maintains its reputation for offering much more than any other vehicle in its class, including an unbeatable blend of luxury and performance. When it comes to upmost value and reliability without sacrificing comfort or convenience, you can’t surpass the 2017 Lexus RX.
