2017 Lexus NX: Refreshed and Refined

The compact Lexus NX is the luxury crossover SUV that is the Lexus answer to other luxury brand SUVs Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class among others. The Lexus NX comes in two models, the turbo charged 200t and hybrid 300h.

The NX 200t, uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder engine with a six-speed transmission, while the NX 200h holds a 2.5-liter four-cylinder continuously variable automatic transmission and electric motors powered by a nickel-metal-hydride battery.

Lexus is reaching out towards a younger generation as potential buyers with such vehicles the NX crossover. The NX 200t is the performance version of the NX line, putting 235 horse power and 258 lb-ft of torque. Having a brisk acceleration and a responsive transmission, the NX 200t can go 0-60 in 6.9 seconds.  The NX 300h, has less power in place of fuel economy having an output of around 200 hp.

Many of the things that were like about the previous NX models exterior has been kept the same, Lexus’ trademark spindle grill is the main key feature, while the headlights have been redesigned to add LED to the main lights, with LED elements and LED daytime running lights. LED taillights are also a change to the new NX.

The interior has the feel more of a high end sports car than a crossover SUV, while mostly the same feel is kept as it predecessor, leather has been added to different parts such as dash, steering wheel and door panels. The big change come with the infotainment system, the NX now comes standard with the Scout GPS link, a smartphone integration system. It allows the user to have navigation, music and other phone apps to be used through the cars infotainment system,

We are waiting for the new Lexus NX 200t and 300h to arrive in mid to late 2017. Until then, check out our inventory and  contact us to talk about getting you into a Lexus today!
