US getting a 245HP Lexus in 2016

According to Autoblog, the 245 HP Lexus IS 200t is coming to the United States in 2016!

The new 4-cylinder turbo IS will add 37HP and 73 lbs-ft of torque to the 3,500 lb sedan.

Lexus has engineered this four cylinder turbo engine to blow your socks off! Lexus has utilized a very clever 4-2 exhaust manifold to make sure that exhaust gasses from different pairs of cylinders doesn't mix creating power robbing back pressure.

Lexus also used the same fuel injection system found in the Scion FR-S.

Finally, when it comes to the US, the IS 200t will add two more gears in the automatic. The extra geared transmission will allow for quicker shifts and better fuel economy.

• UNDER WARRANTY

It is valid for three years from your date of purchase or 100,000 total vehicle miles, whichever comes first. There is no deductible: Repairs made under this warranty will be made at no cost to you. Except for excluded components (see below), this warranty covers any repair or replacement of components that fail under normal use due to a defect in materials or workmanship, such as: engine, transmission, steering, brakes (excluding rotors and pads), fuel system, cooling, A/C and heating systems, electrical, and restraint systems.
