Will New Lexus LC Debut in Detroit?

 

Lexus has teased us that they will debut something new for the Detroit Auto show, which begins January 11.  It's been four years since Lexus teased us with the LF-LC concept car, and Lexus fans have been waiting with bated breath ever since.  While there's a chance that the Lexus debut planned for Detroit could be something else, there is anticipation building for a production-model LC. 

 

 

The picture above is a "Spy Shot" of the LC concept.  It is anticipated that the LC will feature the 5.0 Liter V-8 that currently powers the RC-F, and will likely follow the Lexus trend of being offered in a hybrid model as well.  We will follow up with more information as it becomes available from the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. 

 

 



KBB Gives Lexus Highest Resale Ratings

 

Lexus has once again dominated the list of Kelley Blue Books 2016 Resale Value Awards.  KBB rates vehicles based on their expected retained value for the first five years of ownership.

 

Lexus had six winners out of the 22 segments for the 2016 model-year, the most of any manufacturer.  "Lexus notably captured the top luxury brand award for the fifth year in a row", according to Eric Ibara, director of residual values for Kelley Blue Book. 

 

Lexus took top honors in the following categories:

 

Entry-level luxury car:  Lexus RC

 

Luxury car:  Lexus GS

 

Lexus ES 300h

 

Luxury mid-size SUV/crossover:  Lexus GX 460

 

Luxury full-size SUV/crossover:  Lexus LX 570

 

Hybrid SUV/crossover:  Lexus RX 450h
