Lexus is Thursday Night Football
For the 5th year in a row, Lexus will present the
half-time show for the NFL’s Thursday Night Football.

This year there is a change
to the Thursday Night Football (TNF) program, being that throughout the season,
TNF will be shown of three separate networks for the first time. And Lexus has
the privilege of presenting the half time show all three.
For the past two seasons,
TNF has been show shown on both CBS and the NFL Network, alternating weeks in
which it is on. But starting this year, NFL Network will broadcast all 10 TNF
games, while both NBC and CBS will split the airing rights for each of the
games. That’s right. TNF will be shown of two networks each week, NFL Network
and locally on NBC/CBS.
Thursday Night Football on CBS and NFL
Network and local stations averaged 13 million viewers last season, a 61%
increase from 2013, when 13 Thursday-night games were broadcast solely on NFL
Network. The NFL has been clear that it wants to use the games to drive
viewership to its cable outlet, which is launching more non-game
programming including documentary programs and reality shows, and to
test new ways of reaching audiences more accustomed to streaming video on
demand.
